I live in an old tobacco warehouse in Durham, NC.  In 2007, the building was converted into lofts. My wife and I moved in in 2009.  We loved it, but it wasn't quite ours yet.  It's amazing how much reconfiguring your own personal space can enrich your connection to your home.  We gutted the master bathroom and installed all new finishes and fixtures, converted the shower to a curbless application and added a new linear drain. The detailing was tricky, but well worth it!  The beautiful wormy maple floating vanity and pendant light valance were meticulously crafted by LR Custom Fabrications here in Durham, NC.  We recently converted our exterior planting bed into a patio space for morning coffee and twilight drinks.
